FAQ

At Pulse Physical Therapy, we understand that you may have questions about our services, treatments, and what to expect during your visit. We are here to provide you with the answers you need to feel confident about your decision to choose us for your physical therapy needs. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to us and we will be happy to assist you.

  • Do I need a referral from my doctor to begin Physical Therapy?
Direct access to physical therapy means you can start your recovery journey without needing a doctor's referral. This streamlined process offers several benefits: Save time: Eliminate unnecessary doctor visits and waiting room stress. Begin healing sooner. Save money: Reduce out-of-pocket costs associated with multiple appointments. Speed recovery: Early intervention often leads to quicker pain relief and a faster return to normal activities. Rest assured, your physical therapist will thoroughly evaluate your condition and, if necessary, refer you to a specialist for further consultation or care.
  • Do you take my insurance?
We are in-network with Medicare and accept out-of-network benefits of major commercial insurances. If you have out-of-network physical therapy benefits, we'll handle the claims process for you. We can verify your coverage and submit claims on your behalf. Alternatively, we can provide a superbill for you to submit directly to your insurance.
  • What if I don't have insurance?
If you do not have insurance we will be happy to discuss a private pay plan so you can get the care you need as quickly as possible.
  • How long is Physical Therapy?
The duration of your physical therapy sessions will vary based on your individual needs. Most appointments last between 45 and 60 minutes. The overall length of your treatment plan depends on the severity of your condition and your specific goals. During your initial evaluation, we'll create a personalized plan outlining the expected number of sessions.
  • What should I wear?
Choose comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement. Athletic attire is ideal, but any comfortable clothes will work. Avoid clothing with buttons, zippers, or tight-fitting garments that may restrict your range of motion. If you're unsure about what to wear, feel free to give our office a call. We're happy to provide specific recommendations based on your treatment plan.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
To ensure all patients have equal access to appointments, we kindly request a minimum of 24-hour notice for cancellations. Exceptions are made for emergencies or illness. A $75 fee will be charged for appointments canceled without sufficient notice. Please note that late arrivals will result in a shortened session.
  • What are your rates?
Our physical therapy sessions are personalized, one-on-one appointments with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, lasting one hour. Prices for treatment sessions and additional services vary. Please contact us at 201-500-5529 for specific pricing information.
